REGULAR ACTIVITIES:
Sacred Space at Queen Camel Church
A service of reflection
with the opportunity for prayer
On the 2nd Wednesday evening of each month at 7p.m. there is an opportunity to find a quiet space to offer and/or to receive prayer for yourself or for others for healing or for anything else you wish. The service travels round the 6 churches in our benefice and details can be found in the parish news or on the church notice board.
The service will often include a short meditation, some quiet music and an opportunity just to relax.
All are welcome to join us for this little oasis of peace and quiet and spiritual refreshment – some sacred space in the midst of our busy lives.

THE CAMEL CLUB
The Camel Club meets every Thursday afternoon after school in the Queen Camel Memorial Hall. It is a Christian-based club for primary school age children where they play games, tackle different craft activities, sing and have a bible story together with refreshments. They also practice different songs and some acting in order to take part in our regular All Age Service on the first Sunday of each month. In the run up to Christmas each year, the children put on a splendid Crib Service in the church on Christmas Eve which attracts a very large congregation. It is always thoroughly enjoyed by those participating and those watching and is a wonderful start to Christmas itself.

Poking Scripture with a stick (Rhythm of Life)
“Rhythm of Life” gatherings are opportunities to join with others in order to look at what impacts our lives today and how we can chose to react.
Thousands of years ago people expected to hear from God in every aspect of life. God is still God, yet for many of us God is remote and has little to do with our everyday living.
At “Rhythm of Life” we look at well known scripture verses and other Wisdom words through a Celtic Lens and have a go at relating them to our experiences and life in the 21st century, looking for the spiritual dimension so often neglected by the pace at which we live.
For those who wish, there is the opportunity to discover more about Ruach and how it can help us to have a clearer picture of ourselves.
This is on Friday 7th July from 10-4. Cost £30 to include a delicious lunch and refreshments.

Compelling Conversations about faith, the world and the universe.
Have you ever wanted to disagree with others’ opinions yet kept quiet because you felt you wouldn’t be accepted?
Maybe you have agreed with a statement which has been frowned on by others.
Within British society we are very good at talking about the weather but not revealing our deeper thoughts, feelings or desires.
Would you like to join a group committed to accepting we can all have our opinions and still deeply respect what each other has to say, possibly even being open to allow a different train of thought to permeate our thinking?
If this sounds like something which you might have fun with please contact me.
